La Conca the Barbera is a region of the province of Tarragona, located on the inside we find the capital, the town of Montblanc. The region comprises 22 municipalities, each has distinctive features that make COMARCO a destination with plenty of charm.
Limited to the region northeast of Anoia, northwest counties with Les Garrigues, Segarra and Urgell, southeast with the Alt Camp, and the southwest by the regions of Priorat and the Costa Dorada.
We offer a differentiated mosaic of contrasting landscapes, on the one hand more would Conca (center and south of the region) surrounded by mountains and drained by the rivers Francolí and its tributary, the Anguera.
La Conca the Barbera is one of the Catalan regions most heritage buildings and landscape features, the first tourist route offered in 1989, known as the Cistercian Route which links to the regions of Alt Camp and Alt Urgell, where we can find monestirios more important as Poblet, Santes Creus and Vallbona of them monks.
The economy of the region is based on agriculture. The main products are cereals, vineyards, almond and hazelnut.
The forest of Poblet has the largest reserves of oak in Catalonia and a large area of protected forest rich and varied vegetation.
